We’ve Investing £2 Million in Community Spaces!
We’re thrilled to announce that 13 fantastic community projects across Herefordshire are being awarded nearly £2 million through the Community Spaces Capital Grant Scheme! These projects will transform local spaces into welcoming, inclusive hubs where people can connect, access services, and enjoy activities that boost health and wellbeing.
From Hereford city to market towns and rural villages, each project was chosen for the unique difference it will make in its community. Work starts soon, and we can’t wait to see these spaces come to life by March 2027.
For the full list of recipients and more details, visit the Herefordshire Council website.

Talk Community Attends HVOSS Meet the Funder Event
The Talk Community Team attended the excellent ‘Meet the Funder’ event arranged and hosted by HVOSS at the Salvation Army Building, Hereford. The event was well attended by around 100 Herefordshire VCSE’s and Talk Community was at hand to offer both free funding advice and support as well and giving a 15-minute demonstration of our Grant Finder Tool.
If you are a VCSE operating in Herefordshire with a turnover of less than £1 million, and you would like to get free advice around how to find new grant funding opportunities to support your work, simply email TalkCommunityEnquiries@herefordshire.gov.uk with the subject: Funding Support Request.

Shaping Mental Health Services Survey – Have your say!
Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) want to hear from people about their thoughts on local mental health services.
England has a new 10-Year Health Plan. This means there will be fewer national rules about mental health services. Local areas will now have more say in what they want and need. By working with local people and communities, NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire can set out what is needed for mental health over the next five years.
This survey asks people what they think about local mental health services now, what has improved, and what they would like in the future. Your answers will help shape future plans and show where we need to work more with people in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
The ICB are keen to hear from a wide range of people across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, including those who live, work, care, or receive NHS services in these areas. Especially if you have used any type of mental health service (from wellbeing and talking therapies, to hospitals and specialised clinics).
To share your experiences please visit the Survey Monkey Page before Friday 30th January 2026. The survey should take approximately 6 minutes to complete. For more information about the survey and how the ICB will use your feeback, please visit the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care System website.
