Last year Herefordshire Council consulted on possible sites for more housing and businesses. Their Core Strategy says that approximately a further 3000 homes are needed by the city by 2031 in addition to those planned for the big strategic sites at Lower Bullingham, Holmer West, City Centre and Three Elms.

The Parish Council responded to the consultation and you can see what we wrote here. Many of the proposed sites are in the north west of the city between Kings Acre Road and the Roman Road and also at Whitecross near Adams Hill. All these sites are on the boundaries of Breinton parish. More details are on our Core Strategy/Hereford Area Plan page. To find this click on Roads and Planning at the top of this page.

No decisions have been taken yet about which sites are preferred but Herefordshire have published the consultation results and they are available. Parish Councillors will study these to see if any further information is available on sites locally. A lot of housing is already planned on the Three Elms site and it is important that building does not exceed what local roads and services can cope with.
